In TOES Town agriculture is both revered for the life it provides and fully integrated into the Town's commerce. Folks in Town like supporting the agricultural way and life locally to diversify both their economy and their culture. Perhaps even more importantly to some is they like knowing the people who grow their food, where it came from and how it was grown. Farmers are reasonably prosperous because they keep a larger share of the value of the crop, sharing the purchase price directly with the shop keepers. With diversified farms, some with greenhouses, the agricultural sector of TOES Town is productive year round. Because the Farmers practice organic and Integrated Pest Management techniques they are building the fertility and productivity of the soil. This is valued in TOES Town and you can believe the Town Hall protects these lands like the precious assets they are. You won't see any sprawl on farm land around here.
